The primary goal of the Physical Education (PE) Program at Bethany Christian School is to assist each student in the development of the attitudes, skills, and movements that will result in a lifetime of participation in physical activity.
Physical Education classes are offered twice weekly for elementary grades and middle school grades.
Classes provide an environment for the development of motor skills, physical manipulation, group cooperation, leadership, fellowship, and natural enjoyment of moving.
Keeping the total development of each student in mind, including physical, motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development, students are provided the opportunities to be fully engaged in a variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate for each age. The goal is for each one to have fun and to develop positive feelings and a positive attitude toward fitness.
